Preview your website

Preview shows the website during development. Try its pages before publishing. Wait for the current version to become ready during builds or restarts.

Open Preview

   Choose the website preview

   Open the project, select Website if the face switch is shown, then open Preview. If the tab is closed, open it from +.

   Start it if stopped

   Click Start preview if shown. The project may be preparing, installing, or starting. Initial installation may take a minute or two; the website appears automatically when ready.

   Try screen sizes

   From the preview toolbar, choose desktop or a narrow screen. Test navigation and buttons at each size; the narrow layout previews the website at phone width.

   Open a larger view

   Click Open in new tab. Use Reload when you need to refresh the view. During Rebuilding, wait for the page to return automatically.

If the preview does not work

   Read the state

   Preparing is different from a failure. If the preview stopped after inactivity, start it. If it is installing for the first time, wait for the indicated duration.

   Use the offered recovery action

   For Could not start preview, click Retry. If it persists, open the log or use Ask Codey to fix so it receives the error context. This requests assistant work and can use credits.

   Verify after fixing

   Wait for the task to finish, then reload Preview. If the project framework is unsupported, follow Migration and conversion.
