Questions, plans, and approval

Last reviewed:

These steps apply with My account off. The plan explains what Codey will build, and sending an idea or answers does not replace your approval to execute. In My account mode, the task starts directly when you send the request, without a separate plan-approval stage. See Linked accounts.

Answer and review

  1. 1

    Send a build request

In chat, choose Build or leave automatic action selection on, then send your request. Wait while it is studied; questions may appear before the plan.

  2. 2

    Complete the answers

Choose an option or type an answer for each question. Click Send answers and write the plan. The button stays unavailable until every question has an answer.

  3. 3

    Review the scope

Read the outcome, steps, design direction, and exclusions. Review credit and time estimates when available; they are neither the final charge nor a guaranteed deadline.

  4. 4

    Change or defer if needed

Click Request changes, describe the change, then Update plan. Wait for the new version and review it. Or click Defer and return from Plan log later.

  5. 5

    Start building

Click Start building when ready. If told the plan changed, read the newly displayed version before approving. If sending fails, the plan remains; check your connection and retry.

If another review card appears

  1. 1

    Review Codey’s understanding

The card shows what Codey understood, assumed, and needs. Enter missing facts, or use Correct me and Send. Wait for the saved message.

  2. 2

    Review direction and cap

Choose a design direction if needed. You may set and save an optional spending cap. Reaching it pauses the task for your next decision; balance and plan limits still apply.

  3. 3

    Click Start building

Wait for the progress card to resume. If the card is no longer current, refresh and read the latest state before retrying.

Plans with phases

For a phased plan, the phases and estimates are shown. One approval starts the first and queues the rest. Each waits for the previous phase to complete. If a phase stops, open Plan log to continue it or request changes; a waiting later phase is not a separate failure.

Writing or revising a plan can use credits before building. Deferring keeps the plan so you can execute it later without requesting a newly written plan.
