Domains

Choose your subdomain on the first deployment. To connect a domain you own, add it in the deployment panel and copy the DNS records shown there.

Choosing your subdomain

   Start your first deployment

   Open “Deploy” and click “Deploy”. A name field appears if the project has no subdomain yet.

   Enter an available name

   Use 4–63 lowercase Latin letters, numbers, or hyphens. Do not start or end with a hyphen. Spaces and Arabic letters are not accepted, and a name may be reserved or already taken.

   Wait for the availability check

   The check starts shortly after you stop typing. Review the full address beside “Available”, such as my-shop.codeyy.app. If unavailable, change the name and wait for a new result.

   Confirm your choice

   Click “Confirm & deploy”. There is no tool to change this name after confirmation. Renaming the project does not change its link. This subdomain needs no DNS setup from you.

Connecting your own domain

   Publish the project first

   Check that the subdomain works. Have access to the DNS settings in the account that manages your domain. Owners and editors can connect domains.

   Add the domain

   In “Deploy”, find the domains section and click the button to connect a custom domain. Enter a full name such as example.com or app.example.com, then click “Add”.

   Copy the displayed records

   Each record card shows its type, name, and value. Open your domain’s DNS settings and add those records. The copy button beside a value copies it in full.

   Wait, then verify

   DNS propagation can take minutes to hours. Return to codeyy and click “Verify now”, or “Verify” beside the domain. On an error, check the full record name and value, then retry after propagation.

   Open the domain

   After the active status appears, open your address using HTTPS. If only ownership is verified, follow the message: activation may need deployment to finish or another attempt.

Which DNS records are required?

• TXT record: its name starts with _codeyy-verify followed by your domain. Its value is the displayed verification token, beginning with codeyy-verify=. Copy the whole value; do not replace it with the project name.
• For a domain such as app.example.com, the platform shows a CNAME record named after that domain, pointing to the project subdomain without https://.
• For a domain such as example.com, it shows an A record with the IP address resolved from the project subdomain. Use the current displayed value; this guide does not provide a fixed IP address.
• Follow the record type shown for your domain, especially names with multiple parts. If a message appears instead of a valid routing value, publish the project first or contact support. Do not paste the message as a DNS value.

Viewing records again or disconnecting

   Show the records again if needed

   If you closed the record card, add the same domain again using the custom-domain button. This returns its existing records and verification token without creating a duplicate in the project.

   Remove the connection if needed

   In the domain list, click the remove icon beside the domain you want to disconnect. Removal starts immediately. Wait until it disappears from the list; the project subdomain remains.

   Check the result

   Connecting or disconnecting a domain can restart the website. Check the address after completion. If a removed domain still serves the website, redeploy and check again. DNS records in your own account are managed there and are not deleted by this button.
