Delete a codeyy account
Request deletion of your account and data
You can request deletion of your codeyy account and associated data from this page, even if the app is no longer installed or you cannot sign in.
Send a deletion request by email
When possible, send the request from the email linked to your account. If you can no longer access it, include the account email in your message; we may ask for an appropriate ownership check before carrying out the deletion.
The link opens your email app with a general subject only. Add the account email in your message; the codeyy app does not need to be installed.
Do not send your password, verification or recovery codes, API keys, or payment-card details. We may ask you to verify account ownership, but we will never ask for these secrets by email.
Delete from inside the app
If you can open your account in the codeyy app, you can delete it directly:
- Open the codeyy app and go to Settings.
- Scroll to Danger zone, then choose Delete account.
- Type the email linked to the account to confirm.
- Confirm with your password, or verify again with the linked Google or Apple account. An Apple-linked account requires fresh Apple verification on an iPhone or iPad.
Before deletion
- Account ownership must be verified to protect against unauthorized deletion requests.
- Download or copy anything you want to keep before confirming; permanent deletion cannot be undone.
- Deletion may be briefly unavailable while another protected account operation is finishing; you can retry after it completes.
What happens when the account is deleted?
When the deletion flow completes, the account is closed and associated data is erased or anonymized under our Privacy Policy. Current actions include:
Deleting push-notification devices, two-factor backup codes, personal coding credentials, and project secrets.
Stopping active tasks, closing projects you own and marking them deleted, disabling their deployments, and unlisting your published templates.
Removing your membership from projects owned by other users.
What may be retained?
We retain only limited data where there is a legitimate legal, financial, or security need, then erase or anonymize it when that purpose ends.
- Limited financial or security records may remain for as long as necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- For an Apple-linked account, the Apple identifier and encrypted revocation token may remain temporarily only until Apple accepts authorization revocation; the token is then deleted and the identifier released.
Deleting a codeyy account is permanent. Uninstalling the app or revoking Google or Apple access alone does not delete your codeyy account or its data.
